What is a Movement Disorder?
Movement disorders refer to a group of neurological conditions that affect the speed, quality, and control of movement. These disorders may cause too little movement, excessive and involuntary involuntary movement, abnormal postures or tremors.

Our Approach to Diagnosis
An accurate diagnosis is essential for effective treatment. Our neurologists conduct comprehensive bedside assessments, focusing on how movement is initiated, controlled, and performed. Depending on clinical findings, additional investigations may include:
- MRI or nuclear medicine brain scans (e.g. DaTscan)
- Blood tests for metabolic or genetic markers
- Nerve conduction studies or EMG (when needed)
